About John Bast

John Bast grew up in Santa Clara County, and has lived in Sonoma since 1976. He has over 40 years of experience in the financial and mortgage industries. He has worked on the banking side with Glendale Federal Bank as a Banking Executive. He held the Regional Manager position with PHH Mortgage from 1997-2012, then moved to Mortgage Banker with Pinnacle Capital in 2012, Peoples Home Equity in 2016.
He turned his focus to Reverse Lending in 2015 and, with HomeBridge, is now a Reverse Mortgage Specialist, helping seniors make informed choices as part of their overall financial strategy into their retirement years. John is a member of the Board of Directors for the Sonoma Valley Chamber of commerce and, in his spare time, is an avid cyclist and skier. He has been married to his wife Holly since 1980. They have two grown daughters.  John’s passion is to assist seniors in living well in retirement.
