The latest changes to Instagram allow your followers to get in touch with you without leaving the app—and allow you to promote posts with preset calls-to-action (for a nominal fee) from within the app, instead of via Facebook.
To begin, you can use your existing personal profile, or start a new profile just for business. Here’s how to set this up for success*:
Step 1: Go to the Profile screen and tap the options icon (this may look like a gear for iPhone, three dots in a row for Android). Then select Switch to Business Profile.
Step 2: Follow the prompts to connect your Facebook account (make sure your business information is up to date on your Facebook page).
Step 3: Return to the Instagram Profile screen and tap Edit Profile.
Step 4: Make sure your contact information is up to date here as well.
Step 5: Scroll down and tap Try Instagram Business Tools.
A Contact button will appear on your Instagram profile, allowing followers to connect with you directly.
Because real estate marketing relies on visuals, Instagram is one of the best platforms to engage prospects and inspire clients. Post photos and videos of your listings, record client testimonials, and share design and DIY ideas that homeowners will love.
Review these top profiles for photo inspiration:
HGTV is no stranger to Instagram, whether spotlighting popular programming or showcasing houses and design.
Zillow features a mix of currently listed homes for sale as well as some design inspiring photos.
Houzz offers interior design inspiration for every room in the house.
